About this role
Summary of Performance Expectations
Completes birth certificates and records of fetal deaths. Accurately completes data entry into the state registry for state lab screens on all newborn patients in the NICU and Newborn Nursery. Assists with transport of patients to and from the nursery. Performs a variety of organizational, administrative and communication functions.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Notary Public or obtain within two months of employment date.
Preferred:
Knowledge of medical terminology. Formal training in basic computer applications. Ability to type proficiently.
Work Experience:
Required:
One year of administrative or similar experience utilizing word processing and basic administrative skills. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Basic computer skills. Good grammatical skills. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
