UNPAID Marketing and Communications INTERN

Children's Rehabilitation Institute TeletonUSA is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to support their marketing and communication efforts. This role involves hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, and brand storytelling while collaborating closely with the communications and marketing team.

What you'll do:

• Assist in drafting and editing content for social media, newsletters and website updates
• Help develop stories, posts and visuals that highlight organizational impact
• Support basic graphic design using tools like Canva and Adobe Illustrator
• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms
• Monitor engagement (likes, comments, shares) and report basic metrics
• Assist in brainstorming campaign ideas and trends
• Record social media trends
• Take Pictures
• Help draft internal and external communications (emails, announcements, etc.)
• Assist with proofreading and editing materials
• Assist in promoting events and campaigns
• Help with event preparation, coordination, and on-site support if needed

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Adaptable, proactive and eager to learn
• Willingness to take initiative and support team needs
• Availability to work as needed, including occasional weekends
• Enrollment in an undergraduate program or recent graduate in any major with a demonstrated interest in marketing, communications and or public relations
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
