About this role
Job Overview
The US Retail Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining the US Retail demand to support the monthly S&D cycle by analyzing sales, inventory, and production. This role serves as a key liaison between Supply Chain and various cross functional teams such as Sales, Brand, Manufacturing, and Product Planning to ensure demand signals are accurately reflected in operational and leadership decisions.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Generate and maintain retail demand forecasts (sales/production) to support the monthly S&D cycle
- Analyze sales, orders, inventory, and market trends to develop recommendations for responsible vehicles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand, supply, and business objectives
- Support ad hoc what-if scenario planning and executive reporting processes
- Leverage data analytics to improve forecast accuracy and business performance
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop consensus across multiple cross-functional groups
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain management, demand and production planning, purchasing, sales and marketing, finance, or production control
- Master’s Degree OR Bachelor’s degree with focus areas in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, Operations Management or related field
- Experience working with monthly S&D or S&OP processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify planning inconsistencies or risk
