About the team: The Data Analytics team for the Consumables Category leverages advanced data analysis to support informed business decisions and project execution. Collaborating across various business areas, the team identifies data sources, ensures data quality, and creates insightful visualizations. Members apply analytical methods to solve challenges, enhance processes, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. The team emphasizes continuous learning, upholds high standards of integrity and accountability, and contributes to Walmart’s mission of delivering value and excellence to customers through data-driven insights and collaboration. What you'll do: Support development of business cases and provide data-driven recommendations to address business challenges. Identify and source relevant data sets, ensuring data quality and alignment with business requirements. Apply analytical methodologies to formulate solutions and develop initial models under guidance. Generate clear and effective data visualizations using advanced tools to communicate insights to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data representations and support front-end application development. Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and validation activities to maintain high data quality standards. Assist in exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques and scripting languages to identify trends and correlations. What you'll bring: Proficiency in data analysis techniques, including statistical methods and exploratory data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel. Knowledge of business domains including product, finance, marketing, sales, technology, and human resources to support cross-functional data initiatives. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Python libraries to create clear and impactful graphical representations. Understanding of data quality management practices, including profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure reliable data outputs. Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions. Strong communication skills to present insights effectively to stakeholders.
