About this role

EY is a globally connected professional services organization that helps clients create value and build a better working world through assurance, consulting, tax, strategy and transactions. The Summer Associate will support EY-Parthenon project teams serving C-suite clients by conducting research, performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, developing strategic recommendations, and assisting with transaction strategy and execution. The role also involves monitoring industry trends, supporting client engagements, and responsibly leveraging AI tools to improve project delivery.

What you'll do:

  • As a Summer Associate at EY-Parthenon, you will work on project teams, assisting with strategic challenges for C-suite clients
  • This role involves conducting secondary research using diverse sources and tools such as analyst reports and news articles to inform strategic decisions
  • It requires executing various technical analyses like customer segmentation and market sizing to underpin strategic recommendations
  • Summer Associates are expected to continuously learn new skills relevant to different industries and support client engagement teams
  • Staying updated with industry trends and identifying risks and opportunities is a key responsibility, along with supporting financial aspects of engagements like budget management
  • The role also entails reviewing business plans, scrutinizing financial models, and developing project plans for effective transaction strategy and execution
  • Summer Associates are expected to responsibly and effectively leverage AI tools to enhance research, analysis, problem-solving, and overall project delivery
  • When you join us, you will be aligned to one of Strategy and Execution's five practice groups – Private Equity (including Software Strategy Group), Strategy, Operations, Transactions or Tech (Deal Tech), where you will serve as a trusted journey partner to clients, helping solve their most complex challenges and infusing AI into business operations to drive lasting impact

What they're looking for:

  • A predicted bachelor's degree from an undergraduate institution
  • Proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites; a driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future
  • The expectation for this role is in person teaming, at client site or in an EY office, a minimum of 60% of the time or on average 3 days a week over the course of an engagement, project or performance year
  • Outstanding academic performance, including coursework relevant to the position, such as quantitative courses in finance, mathematics, business, economics, biologic sciences, computer science, or engineering
  • Demonstrated interest in related fields through internships, coursework or extracurricular activities
  • A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
  • The ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for our clients
  • The ability and the confidence to establish meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues

Benefits:

  • Medical and dental coverage for full-time hires
  • Pension and 401(k) plans for full-time hires
  • A wide range of paid time off options for full-time hires
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • EY Paid Holidays
  • Winter/Summer breaks
