About this role
EY is a globally connected professional services firm providing tax, consulting, assurance, strategy, and transaction services. The Tax Technology and Transformation Products Intern will help develop tax technology products, support client deliverables, translate user needs into product requirements, test features, analyze data, and explore emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning.
What you'll do:
- Taking ownership of assigned work and seeing it through to completion, with strong attention to detail and quality
- Identifying opportunities to streamline repetitive processes through automation using current and emerging technologies
- Assisting in translating business and user needs into clear, practical requirements that help shape product development
- Contributing creative ideas to improve the user experience and make products more intuitive and effective
- Supporting feature testing and quality review to help ensure a smooth, reliable experience before release
- Providing project support to team members to help ensure the timely delivery of project outcomes
- Exploring emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, and supporting the development of business cases for their implementation
- Working with data to support analysis, reporting, and informed decision-making
What they're looking for:
- A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or an Accounting major and a double major/minor in a technology related field, supported by a strong academic record
- 3.0 cumulative college/university GPA
- Sharp problem-solving skills, paired with critical and strategic thinking, including the ability to step back, ask "what should we do next?", and identify opportunities to improve the way work gets done
- An entrepreneurial approach to work and creativity to imagine better ways of doing things
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage competing deadlines
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
- An interest working in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model
- Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
- In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office location associated with this position
