About this role
The Clark County Water Reclamation District operates a finance service center supporting water reclamation district services. The Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I/II (Accounting) position manages accounting application software, maintains financial records, prepares reports and deposits, reconciles ledger accounts, and performs accounting duties in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
What you'll do:
- Working with accounting application software such as Oracle EBS, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivables
- Interpreting and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing accurate financial, statistical and narrative reports
- Preparing deposits and other accounting reconciliations
- Preparing and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts
- Performing accounting duties in accordance with GASB, GAAP and NRS guidelines
What they're looking for:
- * Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst I: Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, or related field
- * Utility Operations & Cost-Rate Analyst II: In addition to the above: Two (2) years of professional full-time accounting or finance experience
- * Full-time professional experience in a related field may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two (2) years
- * Specified position may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment
