UVA | Northern Virginia Content Marketing Coordinator - Remote (Student Wage)

The University of Virginia is seeking a Content Marketing Coordinator to support UVA | Northern Virginia’s content marketing efforts. The role involves developing, writing, designing, editing, publishing, and optimizing written, visual, and multimedia content across social media and the unit’s website blog.

What you'll do:

• Brainstorm and concept development for social media and blog content
• Write, edit, and proofread social media posts, articles, and blog content
• Create and curate visual and multimedia content (images, videos, graphics)
• Work with Associate Director of Communications to schedule and post content across social media platforms and the website's blog
• Learn and adopt the UVA Brand Guidelines throughout all brand messaging & content
• Monitor engagement and suggest optimizations based on performance data

• Strong storytelling and interpersonal skills
• A self-starter who works effectively within a team environment and on their own
• Experience and/or interest in a diverse range of content types, such as graphic design, blog posts and articles, social media, videography, photography, etc
• Experience and/or interest in marketing
• Current UVA student
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Proficient knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Experience in content creation, marketing, or communications
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Graphic design experience
• Video editing experience
