Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Electronics. ## Job Responsibilities ## Position Overview - Support the EMC Validation Team in fulfilling testing, data analysis and issue debugging duties. This position will report to the EMC Validation Manager. ## Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Listen for instructions, take notes, ask questions and explain procedures to confirm requirements are understood before starting any testing. - Support EMC Validation engineers in day-to-day activities including module reflash, part logging and issue tracking. - Support EMC Validation engineers on test data analysis and reporting. - Support EMC Validation engineering on test issue debugging and tracking. - Test electronic modules during development, design validation and production validation. - Work directly with an EMC Validation Engineer to review, understand and execute test instructions. - Manage part samples, test setups, environmental chamber operation, sample analysis preparation, logging, data acquisition and reporting. - Work with electronic module test stands to ensure correct setups and execution of active testing on modules. - Perform diagnostics, repair and maintenance of electronic test stands, as well as harness building, debugging and repair. - Work with other department associates to ensure full proxy and backup of all key responsibilities. - Manage priorities and support multitasking activities, and seek out additional work during slower periods. - Support parts storage practices, labeling and fixture organization. ## Qualifications - Some related experience preferred. ## Education and Experience - High school diploma. - Currently attending a college or university. ## Special Knowledge and Skills - Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. - Professional written and verbal communication skills. - Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology. - Ability to support problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of methods and processes. - Hands-on ability to perform testing, create or move setups, and start and monitor tests. ## Physical Demands and Work Environment - Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work at a computer. - In case necessary, deliver parts to external labs and support testing at remote lab locations.
