Department Overview:

The UWVC Purchasing Department handles all purchases for the veterinary hospital: Medications, medical supplies and equipment, food for patients, and more!

Schedule:

Errand hours are 12-2pm (may be shorter), additional hours are available for processing shipments and other duties. Typical hours are from 12-3PM or 4PM Monday through Friday.

Minimum: $15.00

Qualifications:

Must be a UW Madison Authorized Driver with a good driving record:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Excellent driving record
- Able to complete tasks independently
- Trustworthy and responsible
- High attention to detail

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This position will assist the veterinary hospital's Purchasing Department with running daily errands, processing incoming shipments, and helping managing inventory in the veterinary hospital. Errands include trips to local pharmacies or other campus units to pick up pharmaceutical orders for patients, trips to the grocery store to pick up food for patients, delivery of lab samples, and other errands based on the needs of the hospital.


Qualified applicants will have, or will be able to obtain, their UW Campus Driver Authorization and have an excellent driving record.

Physical Demands:

Occasional lifting of 50+ pounds.
Comfort with and ability to drive an automatic transmission truck in any weather conditions
