To learn more, please visit: NFP. Summary: We are seeking an exceptional VP, Management Liability & Cyber Claims Advocate to join our nationally recognized claims advocacy practice. This is not a traditional insurance company claims handling position. Rather, it is a highly consultative role focused on representing the interests of commercial policyholders by providing sophisticated coverage analysis, strategic claims advocacy, and trusted guidance throughout the lifecycle of complex management liability claims. This position offers the opportunity to become a recognized technical resource within one of the industry's premier management liability and cyber claims practices, working directly with sophisticated corporate clients, senior executives, brokers, underwriters, and coverage counsel on some of today's most challenging liability claims. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Claims Evaluation & Coverage Analysis Receive, review, and evaluate new claims, circumstances, and potential claims. Analyze complex factual situations to determine whether notice should be provided under one or more insurance policies. Independently determine which policies and insurers should be placed on notice. Read, interpret, and analyze policy language across multiple management liability and cyber insurance products. Evaluate coverage triggers, exclusions, conditions, endorsements, and policy obligations. Identify strategic coverage issues that may impact the outcome of a claim. Evaluate existing and proposed policy language and provide meaningful commentary regarding strengths, weaknesses, coverage gaps, and opportunities for enhancement. Analyze hypothetical client situations and provide practical guidance regarding potential insurance implications. Client Advocacy Reporting new claims to insurers and coordinating all aspects of the notice process. Developing persuasive coverage analyses and advocacy strategies designed to maximize insurance recovery. Communicating directly with insurers regarding coverage positions, reservation of rights letters, requests for information, and disputed coverage issues. Assisting clients in navigating complex claims while protecting their rights under applicable insurance policies. Coordinating with insurers, defense counsel, brokers, forensic firms, privacy counsel, and other professionals throughout the life of a claim. Monitoring claims through resolution while keeping clients informed of significant developments and recommended strategies. Client Advisory Explaining complex insurance concepts in practical, understandable language. Advising risk managers, general counsel, C-suite executives, boards of directors, and senior leadership regarding claims strategy and insurance coverage. Providing equally effective guidance to clients with little or no prior claims experience by helping them navigate unfamiliar and often stressful claim situations. Building trusted, long-term relationships through technical excellence, sound judgment, responsiveness, and outstanding client service. Technical Leadership & Business Development Preparing client alerts, articles, white papers, and other thought leadership materials. Providing technical expertise during Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and finalist presentations. Conducting educational presentations, webinars, and training sessions for clients, prospects, and colleagues. Supporting producers and account executives in client meetings involving complex claims or coverage issues. Representing the firm at conferences, seminars, industry associations, and client events. Serving as a speaker or panelist at industry programs to demonstrate the firm's technical capabilities and thought leadership. Internal Collaboration Partner with producers, account executives, placement specialists, legal resources, and other subject matter experts to deliver exceptional client service. Serve as an internal technical resource on management liability and cyber claims. Mentor junior professionals and contribute to the continued development of the firm's claims advocacy practice. Education and/or Experience Required Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience. Minimum of five (5) years of management liability claims experience with an insurance carrier handling one or more of the product lines listed above. Demonstrated expertise interpreting insurance policy language and analyzing complex coverage issues. Ability to independently evaluate claims and formulate sound, well-reasoned coverage recommendations. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Outstanding writing skills with the ability to develop persuasive, technically sound coverage analysis and advocacy positions. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong client relationship skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Preferred Juris Doctor (J.D.). CPCU, RPLU, ARM, or similar professional designation. Experience handling complex or high-severity management liability claims. Experience involving insurance coverage litigation or insurance coverage counseling. Experience presenting to clients or speaking at conferences and industry events. What We Offer: We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. Our PeopleFirst culture focuses on building and nurturing lifelong relationships with our employees because, at the end of the day, we exist to be there for others. The base salary range for this position is $160,000 – $190,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. NFP and You... Better Together!
