Garver is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm focused on water and wastewater, transportation, aviation, buildings, and related services. The Water Electrical Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience designing electrical power and controls systems for water projects while receiving mentorship and training from experienced professionals. The role also includes site visits, professional development, networking, and community volunteer activities.

What you'll do:

  • Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders
  • Gain real-world experience in the design of electrical power and controls systems through assisting with a wide array of water projects
  • Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers
  • Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry
  • Visit some of Garver’s Water project sites
  • Engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network
  • Participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program, empowering you to prioritize your overall well-being
  • Give back to your community through volunteer activities as part of our Garver Gives initiative
  • Enhance your professional growth by collaborating with Garver's Learning and Development team, which offers tailored training and programs, including skills-based courses, designed to support your development

What they're looking for:

  • Candidates must be pursuing an electrical engineering in an ABET accredited program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit
  • Previous consulting industry exposure or experience
