Water Infrastructure Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

## Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Infrastructure Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Henderson, NV office. ## Your role - Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for water infrastructure projects. - Support engineering studies and planning activities by collecting data, performing basic analyses, and completing routine calculations using established methods. - Assist in evaluating design alternatives and documenting findings under the guidance of experienced engineers. - Prepare portions of technical reports, permit application materials, and project documentation for review by senior staff. - Assist with data collection, research, and analysis related to site conditions, regulatory requirements, and project feasibility. - Support construction-phase activities by reviewing project records, tracking progress, and assisting with document management. - Create basic graphic presentations, exhibits, and supporting materials for project deliverables. ## About you - Experience: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field. - Education: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027). - Special skills: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases. - Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred. ## Rewards & benefits As an Intern, you will participate in Explore, AtkinsRéalis' intern development initiative, and will enjoy a host of benefits including: - Competitive salary - Hands-on experience with industry leaders - Support and mentorship from various professionals throughout the business - Career and educational exploration opportunities such as Client Site Visits, Weekly Lunch & Learns, and various virtual and/or in-person activitiesAtkinsRéalis is an equal opportunity, Drug-Free employer.
