AID is looking for a Water/Wastewater System Operator to work at Keesler AFB, MS.  To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

Water/Wastewater System Operator responsible for daily operation, Preventive Maintenance (PM), and repair of the wastewater/water treatment systems. Utilize computers and software to operate and maintain water wells, lift stations and associated SCADA system. Maintains, installs, and repair all aspects of the water and wastewater system. Responds to emergency repair calls to restore operation upon notice during regular hours or after duty on-call hours.


Responsibilities

  • Monitors water treatment equipment parameters
  • Monitor and makes adjustments to Water Plant, Lift Station and Pool equipment with Water Operator of Records approval, ensuring operation guidelines are followed
  • Starts, operates, and secures water wells, towers, lift stations, and all associated auxiliary equipment essential to water treatment, production, operation, storage and wastewater removal
  • Maintains cleanliness of Water Production Facilities, Towers, Lift Stations and associated facilities
  • Responds to Water and Waste Water Call outs with appropriate immediate and subsequent actions
  • Ensures efficient and economical operation of station water production and wastewater removal equipment
  • Maintains daily logs and paperwork as required
  • Advises the Utility Supervisor and Water Operator of Record of the status of water production equipment, systems, pool and wastewater lift stations
  • Performs other duties as requested and/or required.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in water production/treatment operations and sewer lift stations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot panels, motors, pumps, chemical treatment system, and electrical systems.
  • Class D or higher Water Certification issued by Mississippi Health Department.
  • State issued driver’s license, highly desirable commercial license with hazmat.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other software systems.
