About this role
Advantage Design Group builds platforms used by colleges, universities, and organizations to welcome new students and employees. The Web Developer Intern will build and maintain production features, develop front-end interfaces, work with Umbraco and SQL Server, and learn accessibility practices under mentorship from experienced developers.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain features in C# and .NET on our production platform, with real code review
- Front end work in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript on interfaces students actually see
- Work in Umbraco, the content system behind our platform. Nobody arrives knowing it
- Write queries and learn the data behind the product, in SQL Server
- Learn accessibility properly. We hold our product to WCAG 2.2 AA
What they're looking for:
- You are writing C# and .NET now, in coursework, projects, or a previous internship
- Working front end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Comfort in Visual Studio, or a willingness to get comfortable quickly
- You ask questions when you are stuck. This matters more than any language on your resume
- Jacksonville, Florida. On site and full time
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- **Nice to have, not expected:** Umbraco or any CMS, SQL Server, TypeScript, Razor, MVC, Git, or anything you have shipped, even if it broke
Benefits:
- Academic credit toward your major if your program allows it
- On site and full time
- You will be paired with a developer who owns your ramp
- Structured onboarding
- Funded training
- Current equipment
- A stocked break room
