As an Official, you will enforce rules, cultivate a positive culture, and act as an on-court coach, advocating for our programs. Your contribution directly impacts players, coaches, and spectators, making each game day a memorable experience.</div><div><br></div><div> <strong>Responsibilities <br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Thoroughly understand and enforce the i9 Sports rulebook, ensuring a fun, educational, and safe environment for all players.</li> <li>Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.</li> <li>Set up and break down game/practice field equipment.</li> <li>Keep time and score during the game, managing an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.</li> <li>Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and provide superior customer service.</li> <li>Assist volunteer coaches during practice sessions, conducting drills, and answering any questions they may have.</li> </ul><div><br></div><div> <strong>Qualifications/Requirements<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators.</li> <li>Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.</li> <li>Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.</li> <li>Demonstrated awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure player safety.</li> <li>Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.</li> <li>Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings, for the full duration of the season (approximately 7 weeks).</li> <li>Must have a smartphone with internet capability.</li> <li>Successful completion of a National Criminal Background Check is required.</li> </ul><div>We offer a competitive hourly rate and an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the volleyball community.
