Winegrowing Research Data Analyst Internship 2027

GALLO is a family-owned beverage company with a portfolio spanning wine, malt, spirits, and ready-to-drink beverages. The Winegrowing Research Data Analyst Intern will collaborate with scientists, technical experts, and cross-functional teams to support data analytics projects, document data inputs and outputs, and create dashboards. The role will also involve mining structured and unstructured data for predictive insights and contributing to machine learning and advanced analytical models.

What you'll do:

• Enhance your data analytics abilities by engaging with a diverse project portfolio and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Viticulture, Chemistry, Enology, Micro and Systems Biology, and Winemaking
• Play a crucial part in understanding and documenting the inputs and outputs of data to support ongoing development
• Creating dashboards that empower our partners to make informed, data-driven decisions
• Mine data to identify patterns for predictive insights, modeling both structured and unstructured data as you contribute to the development of machine learning and other advanced analytical models

What they're looking for:

• Candidate must be available for the entire duration of the internship to qualify
• * Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards OR have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Marketing Research, Applied/Quantitative Psychology or School of Engineering
• * Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
• * Experience working with data in Python or SQL
• * Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
• * Requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary
• * Required to be 18 years or older
• * Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Marketing Research, Applied/Quantitative Psychology or School of Engineering
• * Previous experience in natural sciences, fermentation, viticulture, or winemaking
• * Knowledge or experience working with BI Tools, like Tableau
• * Excellent organizational and team skills and experience managing multiple assignments
• * Previous experience working in a collaborative environment
