Winter 2027 Intern, Electrical Engineering

Kodiak is an autonomous vehicle technology company developing AI-powered systems for commercial trucking and public-sector applications. The Electrical Engineering Intern will support the design, development, testing, and integration of autonomous vehicle power system equipment while analyzing data and communicating technical work to engineering teams and stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Participate in the design, development, and testing of AV power system equipment, encompassing hardware and component selection, PCB design, and system-level integration and testing
• Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, encompassing both engineering and non-engineering disciplines
• Carry out assigned tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers, engineering managers, and project engineers
• Accountable for executing and completing small-scale scopes of work, ensuring alignment with project constraints such as quality, schedule, and cost
• Create technical presentations and effectively communicate your work efforts to colleagues and stakeholders
• Generate Electrical wiring diagrams/tables, models, simulations and schematics
• Gather, process, and analyze extensive datasets to inform and support decision-making

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems
• Exposure to I2C, SPI, CANbus, or battery systems is a plus
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Experience with Altium or Cadence is preferred
