About this role
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is a financial market utility providing clearing and settlement services for options, futures, and securities lending transactions. The Year-Round Intern will support the Business Systems Analysis Enablement team by researching and cataloging products, documenting their business relevance, prioritizing products needing formal requirements documentation, and presenting findings to leadership.
What you'll do:
- Researching and cataloging all products and tools within the six Enablement areas, with guidance from the Pillar Lead and supporting analysts
- Documenting the functional purpose and business relevance of each identified product
- Evaluating and prioritizing which products require full requirements analysis documentation to ensure sustained support and institutional knowledge
- Drafting a written analysis explaining the rationale behind each prioritized product's need for formal requirements documentation
- Maintaining organized documentation throughout the internship using Confluence and Jira
- A completed Product Catalog covering all six Enablement areas
- A prioritized list of products requiring requirements analysis documentation
- A written analysis justifying the prioritization of each identified product
- A final presentation of findings to BSA Leadership and ITBM Leadership at the conclusion of the internship
What they're looking for:
- Rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028
- * Computer Science or Business Analysis
- * Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira for documentation and tracking purposes (required)
- * Inquisitive with a strong drive to learn new and unfamiliar concepts
- * Self-motivated and driven to learn
- * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- * Strong verbal and written communication skills
- * Well organized, with the ability to manage documentation and track progress across multiple product areas
- * Familiarity with cloud infrastructure basics (preferred, not required)
- * Conceptual understanding of networking and virtualization foundations (preferred, not required)
- * Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles (preferred, not required)

- Interns and seasonal interns are eligible only for paid sick leave accrued based on hours worked.
- Hybrid work environment; employees are generally permitted to select 2 other days per week to work remotely if desired, subject to performance expectations and approved exceptions.
