3D Solutions Project Engineer – Commercial Ag Solutions

At CL Construction, we’re growing our Commercial Ag Solutions team and seeking a 3D Solutions Project Engineer who thrives on turning complex challenges into innovative designs. In this role, you’ll partner directly with customers to create Grain and Dry Fertilizer Site Solutions—from concept through completion—using advanced 3D design tools and engineering expertise.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the design process for Grain Handling and Dry Fertilizer Solutions, generating opportunities and delivering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to understand operations and define future-state goals.
- Develop budgetary concepts, quotes, and detailed designs aligned with customer needs.
- Produce 2D and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and other design software.
- Create fabrication and construction drawings for project execution.
- Coordinate with vendors and engineering partners for structural, equipment, and concrete design.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Incorporate feedback and continuously improve designs and processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Solutions Department.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years in design or product engineering, ideally in Agriculture, Grain Handling, Dry Fertilizer, or Material Handling Equipment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (required).
- Familiarity with Advanced Steel, Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, Cyclone Field 360, Register 360, Trimble Field Link (preferred).
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to own schedules and deliverables.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel (~10%) and valid driver’s license required.
