Account Management Intern

Werner Management Inc is hiring an Account Management Intern for an 11-week summer program. The intern will manage customer accounts and coordinate transportation services while gaining hands-on experience in logistics and account management.

What you'll do:

• Manage a customer account, or accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all account management-related inquiries and issues
• Coordinate the transportation of goods, including scheduling loads, arranging pickups and deliveries, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates on load status, address any concerns or issues, and ensure overall satisfaction
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues and ensure smooth execution of transportation services
• Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency, both internally and for customers
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve service offerings and remain competitive in the market
• Complete a group project with the other summer interns as specified by the Director of Implementation
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel

What they're looking for:

• Currently attending an accredited college or university at a Junior level in attempts to receive a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics/Transportation, Management, or Marketing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to understand account management
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Skill in planning and time management
• Previous customer service experience preferred
