Facility: East Cooper Medical Center | Location: Mount Pleasant, SC
 Position Type: Part-Time

Work Schedule: 7am start time

• 1st week - 8 hour shift on Monday and 12 hour shifts Tuesday and Wednesday 
• 2nd week - 12 hour shifts on Thursday and Friday and 8 hour shift on Saturday

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in clerical or customer service exp, required. Minimum of one year of customer service exp in the healthcare field, preferred. 
• Additional Skills (required): Excellent communication including legible penmanship. Team player with supportive and cooperative attitude essential. Working knowledge of computer. Awareness of confidentiality of information collected. Able to multi-task. Compliant with infectious disease exposure protocols. State notary required or acquired within 90 days of hire date.

• Coordinate birth certificate documentation and submit records in accordance with state regulations
• Collect demographic and required registration information from new parents accurately and confidentially
• Verify patient information and maintain complete, compliant medical records
• Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and government agencies regarding birth registration processes
