Join Our Team as a Child Care Lead Teacher I

Location: The Learning Place at Thomasville Medical Center

Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 9:30 AM-6:30 PM

 

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can grow and thrive? As a Child Care Lead Teacher I at Novant Health’s Learning Place, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional early childhood education and care.

What We're Looking For:

 

  • Education: High School or GED, required. NC Credentials or equivalency plus 6 semester hours, required.
  • Experience: 1 year early childhood work experience with children up to 12 years of age, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • NC Credentials or equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, required.
    • Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
    • ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire, required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background Check, renewed every 5 years.
    • BSAC if working with school age children.
    • CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children.· NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter · NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire · NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hire
    • CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children. · ·
    • · Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Playground Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with North Carolina Division of Child Development regulations and Health Department sanitation requirements
