CONCESSIONS WORKER (ICE ARENA)

Job Summary: The Concessions Worker supports our concessions operations in Roosevelt Park Ice Arena. This position assists with preparing and serving food, handling transactions, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Work assignments vary based on event schedules and may include supporting multiple concessions areas in a single shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt, courteous service to guests in concession stands
• Assist with setup and breakdown of food service areas, including stocking supplies and maintaining equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and store food and beverages according to established safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, process transactions, and handle cash in compliance with cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shifts, including wiping surfaces, disposing of trash, and cleaning equipment.
• Follow opening, operating, and closing procedures as directed.
• Restock products and supplies as needed during service to ensure continuous availability for guests.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support smooth event operations.

Qualifications:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Work Environment:

• The environment may involve exposure to loud noise levels, large crowds, and varying temperatures.
• Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, hot equipment, and humidity.
• Standing and walking for long periods of time.
• The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, and working in fast-paced conditions.
