Classified-Exempt Position


Parks and Recreation/Pipestem Resort State Park Under general supervision of the Grounds Maintenance supervisor, this position provides overall care, appearance, and maintenance of the grounds at Pipestem Resort State Park. 


The position will conduct routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming trees, planting grass, flowers and shrubs, weeding, snow removal, controlling insects, vermin, and other potential sources of grounds damage. Additional duties include minor repairs to outdoor furniture, painting handrails, and parking lot striping. The role requires using mowers, yard tools, saws, blowers, and weed eaters, as well as operating tractors and heavy equipment once properly trained. Performs all related and non-related work as required by supervisor. Regular attendance is required. 

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Must be able to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.

Experience: Six months of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in groundskeeping work.

Special Requirement: Possession of a valid driver's license may be required.

PG:  3     $25,912 - $43,516

Market Rate: $38,960
