About this role

Summary:

The Lube Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting and supporting the Lube Manager with day-to-day operations to ensure the car care center runs smoothly. This role includes providing a Guest Ready experience along with guidance and direction to team members while maintaining a high standard of service.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·        Support the Lube Manager with recruiting, hiring & training new team members.

·        Oversee the daily workflow & operations of the department/store.

·        Support the Lube Manager in managing a team of technicians to ensure that proper lube services are provided efficiently and safely.

·        Offer continuous leadership and coaching to team members, routinely shaping positive & constructive feedback to help support the team’s success. 

·        Provides the Lube Manager input & support when handling discipline and coaching team members in accordance with Company policy.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·        Support day-to-day lube operations to ensure a smooth delivery service.  

·        Maintain service quality by ensuring service times are at expected levels and established operational procedures are enforced. 

·        Demonstrate a full working knowledge of all equipment and services.

·        Greets and assists Guests, addressing their service needs and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

·        Order supplies and products when necessary.

·        Respond to Guest inquiries and seek guidance from Lube Manager or District Manager as appropriate.

·        Oversee cleanliness, safety & security of car care center.

·        Properly document and report property damage, Guest & team member incidents or injuries.

·        Oversee routine maintenance on vehicle services.

·        Operate automotive service tools and equipment safely.

·        Complete preventative maintenance and ensure proper functioning of service equipment.

·        Adhere to safety standards and Company policies during all service operations.

·        Support and facilitate organizational changes, continuous improvement and communication.

Required Skills & Abilities:

·        Satisfactory completion of required True Brand training.

·        General knowledge of basic computer operations & software.

·        Support and facilitate organizational changes, continuous improvement and communication.

·        Irregular hours and weekends will be required according to the needs of the business.

  • Available to work weekends or holidays according to the needs of the business hours.

 

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;

·        Prior experience in an automotive service or maintenance role is preferred but not required.

·        Willingness to complete True Brand training and certification

 

 

Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, drive and use keyboard. 

·        Lifting Requirements: Lift/pull up to 75 lbs. daily.  

·        Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment, verbal instructions, and machinery.

·        Cognitive Requirements: Basic reading, writing and math skills. Basic speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions. 

·        Vision Requirements: General vision requirements in addition to close vision (<20 inches), Distance Vision (>20 feet), color vision and peripheral vision.

·        Noise Levels: Loud (>85dB) noise levels.  

·        Repetitive Motion(s): Regularly & repetitively use both feet and both hands.

·        Environmental Factors: General working conditions include wet/humid/steam conditions not created by weather, slippery floors, working with mechanical parts and machinery including machinery that contains moving parts, toxic/caustic chemicals, hot grease, petroleum liquids, concentrated soaps & cleaning solutions, asbestos exposure, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat/cold, confined areas, pressurized equipment, electrical equipment, vibration, possible flying debris, flashing/strobing lighting and work around vehicles in motion.
