About this role
Specific Job Functions:
- Oversee the daily department operations of the Count Team
- Responsible for the training and development of all supervisory and non-supervisory personnel
- Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and company leadership
- Establish good rapport with the Main Cage, Slots, Tables Games and Revenue Audit departments to address problems as they arise
- Address employee issues in a calm, effective, intelligent, and fair manner
- Communicate department issues to the Executive Director of Casino Finance
- Analyze problems to find solutions
- Maintain confidential information
- Create and maintain a positive work environment which promotes teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
- Create and implement department policies and procedures
- Ensure all Count Team procedures remain in compliance with the Minimum Internal Control Standards required by the Gaming Control Board
- Manage and participate in the Count Room functions, ensuring the integrity of the drop and count
- Interview all Count Team applicants for supervisory and non-supervisory positions
- Knowledge in utilizing office equipment, such as ten-key calculators, multi-line telephones, computer equipment, copy machines and fax machines
- Trouble shoot problems and provide supervisory and non-supervisory personnel with constructive feedback
- Order all department supplies and arrange equipment repairs and maintenance
- Must maintain a flexible work schedule to attend meetings, outside of normal department work hours
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Qualifications:
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Two (2) years of Count Team experience required
- Knowledge of regulations and laws regarding hiring and maintaining a positive and professional work environment
- Be able to conduct mathematical transactions quickly and accurately
- A high regard for maintaining a good attendance record
- Promote team spirit and gain the respect of the team by demonstrating a good work ethic
- The ability to work in a structured, organized, and highly regulated environment
- Ability to use a computer and ten-key calculator quickly and accurately
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a Gaming Registration
