About this role
Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of a fast-paced custom production and fulfillment operation. This role oversees daily production, warehouse, and fulfillment activities while ensuring exceptional customer service, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and financial performance. The Operations Manager develops high-performing teams, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with customers to support changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day operations, including custom production, packaging, fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse activities.
- Direct and develop associates and frontline leaders to build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure customer orders are produced accurately and shipped on time while maintaining quality and service level expectations.
- Develop labor plans and staffing strategies to align with changing production volumes and customer demand.
- Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, quality, labor efficiency, safety, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Partner directly with customer to communicate operational performance, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives that improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and all applicable safety and quality standards.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, customer service, and support teams to successfully implement new products, processes, and customer programs.
- Manage operational budgets and labor costs while meeting financial and profitability objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive operations leadership experience in custom manufacturing, fulfillment, distribution, e-commerce, print-on-demand, promotional products, or light manufacturing.
- Experience leading multiple departments and teams in a high-volume, customer-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), labor planning, inventory management, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to lead change, improve operational performance, and develop high-performing teams.
Salary Range: $64,913.00 - $81,141.35 annually, depending on experience and geographic location.
Please note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local pay requirements, and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salary thresholds.
