Tax Accountant Intern

Werner Management Inc is hiring a Tax Accountant Intern to support tax compliance, research, and planning activities. The intern will assist with tax filings and records, conduct research, and collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams.

What you'll do:

• Assist with preparation of sales and use tax filings, property taxes, fuel and miles tax filings, and income tax returns
• Help maintain tax records and documentation for audits and compliance
• Conduct tax research and summarize findings for the tax team
• Participate in special projects related to tax planning and process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and operations

What they're looking for:

• Accounting major required
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Completion of introductory tax and accounting coursework preferred
