Job Duties:

Provides technical support for program planning and implementation, offering guidance to staff and external partners. Assists with on-site facility reviews, verifying operations and maintenance practices and reviewing related documentation. Confirms equipment and mechanical systems against records and helps prepare reports that highlight discrepancies and corrective actions. Supports organizing facility review procedures, developing policies, and conducting specialized program evaluations. Aides unit staff by providing technical assistance and training on the Maintenance Business Management System and monitors compliance with established policies and procedures.

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have a bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE).

You have three years full-time, wage-earning program administration, public administration, facilities maintenance, or technical program support experience

You have operational review or auditing experiencepreferred.

You have electrical or mechanical maintenance experience, preferred.

You have knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and techniques.

 

You have knowledge of construction or industrial methods and practices.

 

You have knowledge of review and audit procedures and techniques.

 

You have knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and statutes.

 

You have knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or welding practices, methods, materials, and specifications.

 

You have knowledge of agency and departmental organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

 

You have skill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.

 

You have skill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.

 

You have skill to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

 

You have skill in problem-solving techniques.

 

You have skill in the use of computers and related equipment in a stand-alone or local area network environment.

 

You have skill to prepare and maintain accurate records and files in an automated system.

 

You have skill to review technical data and prepare technical reports.

 

You have skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs.

 

You have skill to plan work in order to meet established guidelines.

 

You have skill to train others.
