Youth Development Leader

The YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester is a charitable, not-for-profit organization serving 66 zip codes in Putnam and Westchester counties. The YMCA of CNW is committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

 

The Before & After School Site Leader is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing environment by supporting the daily implementation of the school-age child care program. 

 

•  Interacts effectively and frequently with all children

•  Maintains proper supervision of children meeting NYS OCFS ratio regulations.
•  Uphold the overall health & safety of each child enrolled

•  Supervise support staff in accordance with YMCA policies
•  Effectively communicate with parents/guardians

•  Must be at least 18 years of age
•  High school diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or 18 credits in a related field)

•  At least two years of professional childcare experience

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
